Rackspace and the Molly Pruitt Public Library have partnered together to bring chess to the Pruitt community!

Try out lessons online AND live streamed at the library, planned for Tuesdays starting September 20th. Flex your skills in fierce and friendly competitions with other players from Pruitt in our online chess rooms AND during free play.

Public Patrons Welcome During School Hours

Public patrons are welcome to visit our library during normal library hours.  

PLEASE NOTE:  During school hours Monday – Friday, it is state mandated that public patrons present a state or government issued photo ID to be scanned at the front desk for visitors passes prior to entry on all campuses.  For more information call 210.650.1122.

One-on-One Homework Help, State-Aligned Skills Building and a 24-Hour Writing Lab are all available through the HelpNow service.

We have free outdoor Wi-Fi available from our parking lot from 7:30 AM to 10:30 PM daily.

Borrow ebooks and audiobooks from your school’s library with Sora. Setup is simple – just find your school and sign in. Then download or stream your assignments and favorite books to your device.

Story Time

Join us every Sunday from 2:30pm - 3:00pm for a Family Story Time!

Children and their grownups listen to stories and enjoy simple, shared activities. A time for families to have fun together while developing early literacy skills and fostering curiosity. 

Let's Build!

Join us every Sunday afternoon from 3:30-4:30 for a STEAM inspired construction program. Use your imagination to build on your own or with other aspiring architects and creative thinkers using a variety of materials. Best for ages 5-12.

Children's Yoga

Dedicated to helping the next generation lead healthier, happier lives. Join us each Monday at 5pm for this amazing children’s program. Parents must remain in the room with their child and are encouraged to participate.

Tween Yoga

Dedicated to helping the next generation lead healthier, happier lives. Join us each Monday at 5:45 pm for this amazing program designed for tweens, ages 9-12. 

Adult Virtual Coloring

Color with us from the comfort of your own home! You may color any materials you have on hand, and a printable file will be included with the e-mailed Zoom link.
Join us for weekly coloring therapy.
Chat about the books you are reading, the shows you are watching, and whatever is on your mind, or just meditatively color.
Coloring has been proven to reduce anxiety and the mental and physical impact of stress.

Special Needs Adult Program (SNAP)

This program is scheduled on the last Wednesday of every month.  This once-a-month program features a story, craft, and snack for adults with special needs. If you know or are a special needs adult who might enjoy this program, please give us a call during library hours.

Auto Draft

Saturday Afternoon Adult Book Club

The current Friday, Saturday, and Sunday book clubs will discontinue and become one based on historical fiction.

Our first meeting is October 15th at 3:00 PM to discuss The Rose Code by Kate Quinn.

Adults & Seniors Come & Go Crafts

Adults and seniors are encouraged to come in-person for creative, self-directed craft activities.  This activity is scheduled on the last Saturday of every month between 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
